1. Who these terms bind
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Makelfy. If you use Makelfy on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept the terms on that organisation's behalf.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission - use the Contact page and select "Security" as the topic.
3. What you can use Makelfy for
Makelfy is a tool for creating presentation decks. You can use it for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, subject to the acceptable-use conditions in Section 4.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Makelfy to:
- Generate content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes another person's rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or systematically extract the service beyond normal use.
- Bypass rate limits, usage quotas or plan restrictions.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with any organisation.
5. Ownership of your content
You own the notes you paste in and the decks Makelfy generates for you. You grant Makelfy a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you - to generate decks, apply designs, produce speaker notes, and store the output under your account.
6. AI-generated output
Generated decks and speaker notes are created by an AI model working from your input. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before presenting or publishing it. Makelfy makes no warranty that generated output is factually accurate, appropriate for your audience, or free of errors - you sign off on it.
7. Fees, upgrades, cancellations
Paid plans are billed on the cycle you choose at checkout. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. On cancellation, you keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for. Refunds are handled per the Refund Policy linked in the footer.
8. Service availability
Makelfy makes reasonable commercial efforts to keep the service available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these terms - for example, repeated acceptable-use violations, chargebacks without prior contact, or misuse that endangers other users. You may terminate your account at any time from account settings.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Makelfy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of use of the service. Aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for Makelfy in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
When these terms change materially, we notify active account holders by email in advance. Continuing to use Makelfy after the effective date of the change counts as acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Bhubaneswar. Nothing in this section limits statutory rights available to you as a consumer in your place of residence.
